Description

Taking up exercise for the first time or after injury/illness can be daunting. I find that people often set themselves unreasonably high goals – especially when they are very motivated. The result is that they either find themselves overwhelmed and give up or they end up injured.

When you buy the Back To Fitness package, I’ll provide you with an exercise programme designed around your specific needs and activity level.

Who should buy this package?

  • People who want to take up exercise for the first time
  • People who want to return to exercise after a long break due to illness, injury or laziness 🙂
  • This package is NOT appropriate for anyone who wants treatment advice for a specific injury or who is currently injured – the Initial Consultation package is what you want. I can, however, design a programme to take chronic injuries (e.g. bad knees) into account so that it does not aggravate them.

What you can expect

Step 1: Book a video consultation. I will use the consultation to get a thorough understanding of your current fitness level, any medical conditions or injuries (e.g. high blood pressure or bad knees) that I have to take into account when designing your programme, your available time as well as your goals.

Step 2: Based on this information, I’ll prepare a 12 week fitness programme to help you towards your goals. How close this programme gets you to your final goal will depend on your starting fitness level. The programme may include strength training, flexibility exercises, cardiovascular exercise as well as sport specific drills – all decided by your preferences and goals.

Step 3: You review the programme and we discuss, via email, any questions you may have or changes you feel should be made.

Step 4: You start the programme and provide me with feedback over the following 2 weeks.

Step 5: At the end of the 2 week period, I’ll make the final adjustments to your programme in response to your feedback.

Step 6: My work is done – you continue with your programme on your own.

Please understand that we cannot provide a diagnosis of any injuries unless we have completed a full assessment.

Changing a booking

Up to 5 hours before start of booking:

Booking dates and times can be changed free of charge up to 5 hours before the booking is due to start. Please email us at info@sports-injury-physio.com or send us a message through our contact page if you want to change your booking.

Between 5 and 1 hours before start of booking:

If you want to change a booking between 5 and 1 hours of its start time, you can do so once free of charge. If you want to change the same booking again within 5 to 1 hours of its start time, you will be charged a fee equal to 25% of the original booking cost. Please email us at info@sports-injury-physio.com or send us a message through our contact page if you want to change your booking.

1 Hour before start of booking:

You cannot change a booking within one hour of its start time. You will have to make a new booking and pay the full fee if you cancel a booking within this period.

Cancellations & Refunds

If for any reason your delivered Online Physiotherapy Service does not conform to the UK Sale of Goods Act of 1979 as amended, We will be happy to issue a credit or refund.

Up to 5 hours before start of booking:

You will receive a full refund if you cancel a consultation booking more than 5 hours before its start time.

Between 5 and 1 hours before start of booking:

If you cancel a consultation booking between 5 and 1 hours of its start time, you will receive a 75% refund.

1 Hour before start of booking:

If you cancel a consultation booking within 1 hour of its start time you will not be eligible for a refund.

You can cancel a booking by going to your Account Dashboard. Click on the “Manage Bookings” tab which will list all your future bookings. Click on the green “Cancel” button to immediately cancel your booking. Alternatively, you may email us direct at info@sports-injury-physio.com or send us a message through our contact page to cancel your booking or discuss your refund. The date stamp on the message/email that shows when you’ve sent it will be used to calculate your refund.

Your refund will be issued by the end of the next business day and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address linked to your account.

    I was training very hard for my first half marathon when I got tick bite fever and after that my immune system was very low and I got the one sickness after the other, but I was determined to do this half marathon and didn’t give my body time to recover and kept on training. I then developed exercise induced asthma and couldn’t run after all.
    I’ve known Maryke for nearly all my life and started reading her blogs. I asked for advice and a programme to suite me as I had to start from the very beginning. She evaluated my situation and gave me a programme suited for my specific needs. I started this programme 3 weeks ago and am now stronger than before. The programme takes the situation with my lungs into consideration and I am not over-doing it or pushing myself at all.
    I can highly recommend her services and want to thank her for her continuous inspiration and advice.
