The coaching environment is a 100% judgement free space and everything you discuss is confidential.

The Coaching Process

Step 1: Free Intro Call

If you haven’t yet done so, please book a free call  to discuss your coaching needs before you book any sessions. The aim of this call is to find out if health coaching is right for you. It will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You can read more about health coaching or diabetes coaching here.

Step 2: Define Your Goals

I will help you to look at all the aspects in your life that may influence your health. I’ll then help you to set the health goals that you want to work on and set realistic time scales for you to achieve them by. These goals are then divided into smaller, achievable steps. We always aim to work on the one thing that, if you achieve it, will take you a single step closer to your goal. This ensures that the process easily slots in with the rest of your life.

Step 3: Explore Your Current Reality

The aim of this phase is to help you gain a deeper understanding of what is contributing to your current situation and what possible solutions there may be, what resources you may have and what knowledge you may have to aquire. We’ll also take a careful look at what obstacles have prevented you from taking action in the past and what challenges may have derailed you so that we can work out ways to overcome them.

Step 4: Create Options

This is the fun phase where you get to think of all the possible things that you COULD do! It is not necessarily things that you are going to do, but just things that you could do if life had no boundaries.

I use careful questioning that allows you to think outside the box so that you can consider all possible options and come up with solutions that you may not have thought of otherwise. I love that light bulb moment when someone realises that the perfect solution for them has been right under their nose all this time!

Step 5: Decide On Actions

During this phase, you’ll look at the list of options that you’ve created and decide which ones you want to complete. You will set yourself a deadline, by when you would like to complete the actions by and also plan for any obstacles that you think may hinder you in completing your tasks.

Step 6: Review And Progress

You meet with your coach at your preferred time intervals to review your progress and continue working towards your goals. If you did not fare so well on completing your agreed actions from the previous session, I will help you to explore the reasons for this. If you are happy with your progress, we’ll celebrate your sucess and  you can start work on the next step that will take you even closer to achieving your goal.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on your goal as well as how hard you work. You can discuss this with me during your free introductory call.

Changing a booking

Up to 5 hours before start of booking:

Booking dates and times can be changed free of charge up to 5 hours before the booking is due to start. Please email us at or send us a message through our contact page if you want to change your booking.

5  Hours before start of booking:

If you want to change a booking within 5 hours of its start time, you can do so once free of charge. If you want to change this or any other booking again within 5 hours of its start time, you will be charged the full fee for the booking that you are changing and you’ll have to pay the full fee for the new booking you make. Please email us at or send us a message through our contact page if you want to change your booking.


Cancellations & Refunds

If for any reason your delivered Online Physiotherapy Service or Coaching Services does not conform to the UK Sale of Goods Act of 1979 as amended, We will be happy to issue a credit or refund.

Up to 5 hours before start of booking:

You will receive a full refund if you cancel a booking more than 5 hours before its start time.

5 Hours before start of booking:

If you cancel a booking within 5 hours of its start time you will not be eligible for a refund.

You can cancel a booking by going to your Account Dashboard. Click on the “Manage Bookings” tab which will list all your future bookings. Click on the green “Cancel” button to immediately cancel your booking. Alternatively, you may email us direct at or send us a message through our contact page to cancel your booking or discuss your refund. The date stamp on the message/email that shows when you’ve sent it will be used to calculate your refund.

Your refund will be issued by the end of the next business day and a confirmation email will be sent to the email address linked to your account.

    I found the coaching sessions with Maryke invaluable. I have spent a number of years procrastinating about my weight, but never finding the motivation to challenge myself. The coaching sessions have proven to be inspirational to fire me to challenge myself to do the life changes required to lose weight and get fitter. The questions directed by Maryke stay with me, and I often find myself using the same questions on myself to prevent me stopping or quitting.
